Description
Since 2010, the adoption of electronic health records (EHRs) by physicians has grown substantially, largely due to the financial incentives offered by the federal government as well as providers becoming increasingly responsible for the costs and quality of care, having robust information systems that allow physicians and their staff to manage care more effectively is critical. Selecting an EHR was daunting, the goal was to adopt, implement and demonstrate meaningful use of an EHR while avoiding clunky technology that would slow down the pace of office routines. In this presentation we will examine common challenges, dissatisfaction and unintended consequences of EHR as well as the benefits practices are seeing from EHRs.
